What is the difference between Indica & Sativa?

Indica, Sativa, and a Hybrid of the two are the 3 main strains of Cannabis. Each offers different effects on the body for different individual needs.

Indica strains usually have strong physical effects on the body that could potentially help alleviate pain, muscle tension, and sleeping problems. They’re known to possibly cause relaxation and drowsiness, so nighttime use is usually recommended.

Sativa strains could possibly have more cerebral effects that might impact mood and emotion, like increasing energy levels, improving focus, and stimulating the appetite. Since they may possibly provide symptom relief without interfering with daily activities, they are often recommended for daytime use.

Hybrid strains contain various levels of both Indica and Sativa, so they offer a balance between the benefits of both types.

Take note that these are only general reference points for patients, not hard rules. The effects of different strains can vary depending on an individual’s unique biology, the specific plant’s chemical profile, the dosage, and a host of other factors.

But don’t worry, our experienced staff is here to help you navigate the different strains and products so that you can find what works best for you as soon as possible.

Can I legally travel with cannabis?

A legal patient may travel anywhere in Maryland, other than federal government property, with medical Cannabis.

If you’re traveling out-of-state, carefully read the state’s statutes regarding the use of medical Cannabis and be aware that taking Cannabis across state lines is a federal offense.

Technically, the state of Maryland cannot authorize you to travel to other states, jurisdictions, or countries with this medicine in your possession.

Can I use my MD card to purchase in other states?

No, a Maryland patient can only legally buy medical Cannabis from a Maryland-licensed dispensary.

If you are over the age of 21 in a state where Cannabis is recreationally legal, like Colorado, then you may purchase it legally there.
