The Reiki Experience: Weekend Schedule

Sunday, August 4
11am Restorative Yoga*
Close out the weekend with a slow, meditative, and restorative yoga class.

This magical, mini-retreat-like experience will guide you into DEEP RELAXATION using eye pillows, bolsters, blankets, and blocks to shape the body in a way that calms your nervous system and soothes your entire being.

Expect a slow-moving, impactful class that will give your muscles and joints a much needed hug and will melt away all your stress. This class will be capped at 10 people.
* Open to Pure Life Wellness patients only.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese healing technique in which energy is transmitted from the reiki practitioner into the patient through a light-touch or no-touch process.

The reiki practitioner is trained to align the chakras and remove any stagnation or energy blocks caused by stress, trauma, illness, physical injury, or emotional pain. This activates the healing process by improving the flow of energy through the patient’s body.

The result? Reduced pain, faster healing, deeper relaxation, reduced symptoms of illness, and a myriad of other benefits to one’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

What is Restorative Yoga?

Restorative yoga is a gentler practice focused on opening your body through long, passive stretches by using the support of props rather than your muscles.

This form of yoga allows the body and mind to slow down and enter into a deeply relaxed state. It soothes the nervous system, prevents stress and anxiety, and helps you feel safe and nurtured.

This is a great class if you’re recovering from an illness or injury, or would simply like to find balance in your hectic life.

About Colleen Kimberly Broersma

Colleen began her journey into yoga in 2014. She describes having an “ah-ha” moment that felt like coming home to a place inside herself that had always existed, but that she had never known about. During that first time on her mat, she knew she wanted to share this feeling with others by teaching yoga.

Colleen fell in love with yoga and became completely devoted to her practice. But it wasn’t until 2018, after the devastating death of her boyfriend, that she decided to pursue her dreams of being a wellness advocate and yoga teacher.

During that difficult time she turned to reiki and yoga to process her grief. Since then, her singular goal has been to help others deal with stress, anxiety, grief, and everyday life in a healthy and healing way.

Upon that inspiration, she created The Soul Nourish to provide #SoulSupport through Restorative and Healing Yoga, Yoga for Grief, Reiki, and Mindfulness as tools to help others navigate life in an empowered and healthy way.

From the start, Colleen has promoted the idea that yoga is accessible to EVERYONE, no matter how flexible, balanced, or strong.

For her, yoga is about slowing down, being present, and connecting with your higher self. It’s about practicing loving kindness towards yourself and others. It’s about connecting to your breath and creating space in your heart.

It’s NOT about how flexible you are or how long you can hold a handstand.

If any of this resonates with you, please reach out to Colleen. You may schedule a yoga class, reiki session, or other service by phone at (410) 262-7492 or email colleen@thesoulnourish.com.
